It seems like Phanpy uses a 3rd party API end-point for translation of posts. This is not immediately clear, especially when the Mastodon or Akkoma instance actually specifies a translation endpoint already.
Also this is a privacy concern for those explicitly self-hosting both Phanpy and a LibreTranslate instance to avoid sending user-data to 3rd party APIs.
Solution I'd like
If the Mastodon or Akkoma instance already specifies an translation service, then this should be also used by Phanpy.
Alternatives considered
There could also be a custom setting to specify an API endpoint directly.
