[http://www.stunnel.org stunnel] can be used to wrap a CherryPy server with SSL. It is cross-platform and can be run on the same machine as the service it is protecting or a different one.

Create an stunnel.conf like this example (see the [http://www.stunnel.org stunnel site] for detailed information on configuring stunnel):

Then, use the "proxy" tool in your config:
