I still think that #3 would be the best way to skip the long waiting periods for the NP points, but till that isn't implemented that would be another way to speed up things.

we could try, the only thing I see could introduce minor complications when performing the integration with python is that some functions (I_0,1,2) take different values on two regions (so called w1 and w2, Fig 4 in 1602.07671).
But I think it would be better to go directly for #3, as it would also provide some useful formulas at the end.
Yes, I agree that #3 would be even better. Probably #3 and #5 should be done together, some time (I will probably not have the time in the next few weeks).
Suggestion: Can't we do the integration over El symbolically? There's also a symbolic integration module in python (https://docs.sympy.org/latest/modules/integrals/integrals.html)
