Do we want to add the r-essentials package which would allow researchers to use the jupyter notebook environment with R?

Will r-essentials cover the needs of the Centre or will it open the door to installing even more stuff to support R?

I think it will inevitably mean some sort of support burden, but it is also more normal for R users to install their own packages (and easy), so maybe not a massive burden.

would R users use Jupiter or would they prefer R-studio?, we could ask NCI to install that if there's enough interest and then we do not have to maintain it

I could see us having a basic 'r' environment separate from the analysis environments, however not sure if we have the experience with R to support it
