This lab needs motivation and explanation behind the "What" and "Why" of building tic tac toe -- there's no gui and students are building abstract functions, we should give a better explanation of how they would be used in a real game.

Ran into Nate, so some comments: (x-posted from email thread.)

Also, we should rename this lab "HOFs SOMETHING" since it doesn't really use lists.

Sections we could add:

  1. What the heck 2D-lists are, and why they're useful.
  2. The idea of a "data structure" oooo...big words.
