Possible behavior for event attendance:

  • Who is attending an event is public
  • The event author can see who is attending, everyone else sees an attendance count or nothing
  • A user can only see if they are attending, event author and maybe the public can see nothing or an attendance count

This is a decision on what attending an event means for CultureMesh. Is it a public announcement, a private RSVP, or a marking of a personal calendar?

We will let users choose whether to make their attendance public when signing up to attend an event.

This is important, but its complexity means that implementing it would delay hand-off too much.
