zsh function to create a markdown file from a text file with the pattern used in the output_filename and begin numbering

so I used ollama running codellama locally to help me make a function with the following prompt:

can you help me write a zsh function, i have https://github.com/danielmiessler/fabric/ and ollama installed locally on my mac, which is a CLI tool that has prebuilt "patterns" or prompts for specific tasks working with AI/llms either through APIs or locally (via ollama). what i want to do is something along the lines of `cat $filename | fabric -p $patternName > $baseFilename-patternName.md` where the filename could be video-transcript-pt1.srt and `fabric -p extract_wisdom` is used to extract wisdom from the transcript, and paste the output to a new file named video-transcript-pt1-extract-wisdom. md. essentially i want to create markdown files of the output from fabric with the original filename (minus the extension) plus the pattern name delimited with hyphens/dashes (-) and if a file with the same name exists then begin enumerating hexidecimally with 2 digits, as in 00-09,0A-0F, then 10-19,1A-1F. with an elif where a third variable would be the path/to/save/file else it will be created in the pwd. if 255 files with the same base name already exist the begin enumeration from 000. if any of this is confusing
 , please ask for clarifications before creating the zsh function.
