It doesn't seem well-maintained. Supporting a dead-end platform is a bad idea, as compatibility improvements are unlikely to come. If J2ME support were to be pursued, I think SquirrelJME would be among the more promising choices.

A WebAssembly port is definitely in the planning books for SquirrelJME.
