In developing Appoint MVP, we realized that adding the "Next Steps" as a cover page to the PDF came with some big accessibility drawbacks.
While not necessary to the UX (there are other ways we reiterate next steps), we think it'd be helpful to provide users with a hard copy of the 'next steps' which they can download for their records. The current idea is to provide the user with two download links:
Download the pre-filled form
Download the next steps
Open questions:
How might we present a second download link, without detracting or confusing users from downloading the pre-filled form?
Does the "next steps" download link exist on the Download page or the Next Steps page?
Can we strive for a "universal" design that would support both the "pre-fill + print" and the "digital submission" pathways? In other words, minimize the amount of conditional elements/content/pages.
Would this content make sense on our FAQ page, as an alternative (or additional) solution to the concept of "I want to reference this information later"?
