Contributing Formula

First, if you are considering contributing a formula that upgrades tool already included in OS X or the Apple developer tools, consult the Formula Cookbook for Hombrew policy that applies to these cases.

To contribute a formula: fork, clone, create, audit, commit, push, and then open a ticket or create a pull request (but please, not both!). For more details, see the Formula Cookbook

Extending Homebrew

Either fork, add features, commit, push and open a ticket or create a new external command.
