I noticed that I can't select the (previously used) language from the dropdown menu. I tried arrow key and tab, but tab only focuses on the elements from the main UI, completely ignoring the elements from the dropdown menu.

I might be able to add this myself, but I'm new to the code base and yet to figure out how to install all the dependencies (tried with nix shell).

You can open the lang selectors with Ctrl + F and Ctrl + T, but independently of how you open the menu, you should be able to navigate it with the keyboard. Al least that's the case in my GNOME setup, can you share more info about you system? Maybe is related to some specific WM/Wayland compositor.

I guess it's a bug then, if it works for you.

Pop!_OS 22.04 (GNOME 42.9), X11

It shouldn't matter, but I switched my system language to Japanese.

A somewhat related issue is that in that menu I can't switch OS language.

And another issue is that IME menu shows in a completely different place (on the left most display). I'm not sure if I'm the only who has that, maybe I still should open an issue for that.

GTK4 has a few issues with X11, so I would not be surprised if that's the cause. And the IME issue might be the same.

I'll try to test this in X11, but I'm pretty sure that this is not solvable from our side. If you have access to a Wayland session would be cool if you can test if everything works fine there.

Well, I do plan on switching to NixOS soon. So I can try that when that happens.
