Dialect 2.1.1 is a very old release from 2022, you would need to ask your distro to update the package or use the flatpak package that is always updated.
Every time I try to use the text to speech function, it tells me "A network issue has occured. Please try again."
My device IS connected to the internet. I installed Dialect version 2.1.1 from the Gnome Software Store.
