The Group of 8 educates more than 425,000 students, 160,000 of which are international students from around 200 countries. <br>
One in three international students enrol in an institution of the Group of 8.

<span class="aus">Australia</span> is the <span class="aus">second largest</span> provider of education to international students,
behind Luxembourg. It welcomes approximately <span class="aus">28%</span> of students who've decided to study abroad. Students
choose to study in Australia for countless reasons. The <span class="ita">student visas are easily available</span>, the
<span class="ita">universities are research-intensive</span> and may offer <span class="ita">internships or work opportunities</span> to students.
The cost of living in Australia is also <span class="ita">lesser</span> than other popular destinations such as Canada and the United Kingdom.

The countries that send the most students to Australia are all located in Asia. <span class="china">China</span> is the largest
contributor to the international student population, with <span class="china">37%</span> or <span class="china">1,600,000</span> international
students originating from there.
The second largest contributor is <span class="india">India</span>, where nearly <span class="india">20%</span> or <span class="india">886,000</span>
students originate. <br>

Australia is home different cultures, which allows international students to feel more at home
in a foreign country. Many australian institutions have cultural events to celebrate and appreciate the different cultures
their students are from.

<span class="sydneyuni">University of Sydney</span> has the highest annual fees out of the members of the Group of 8 ranging from <span class="sydneyuni">$50,000</span> to
<span class="sydneyuni">$54,000</span>. Fortunately, the Australian government has offered to provide scholarships to international students
from across <span class="sydneyuni">55 countries</span>. The institutions themselves also provide scholarship programs to international
students.
