I wanted to ask if STAMP considers the hierarchical structure of bacterial taxa in statistical testing?
For example, If I am comparing the difference in proportion of two bacterial species (from the same bacterial genera), in two groups (control vs disease). Would STAMP consider that the reason both the species are significantly different in control vs disease group is that they are closely related to each other?
