while i am working on making the JSON more stable and adding documentation to the site, i am wondering if switching everything to HTTPS would be an appropriate move. it seems that HTTP URIs (and sites supporting plain HTTP) are becoming a bit old-fashioned. when switching the site to HTTPS, then probably all URIs should be switched as well, so that they still work as dereferencable URIs (see #24 for a related discussion). any opinions/preference about the site and the URIs?
