Now that IE < 11 is dead, it's really time to get older versions out of the way :)

In big companies IE8 still lives.

As far as I'm concerned (and most businesses should see it this way), if the vendor (in this case Microsoft) does not support the software anymore, then relying on it is a liability.
Microsoft only supports IE11+ today.
