Finer adjustment for the playback speed

I'm always frstrated when there's only steps of 0.25x to choose from for adjusting playback speed.

Describe the solution you'd like

I'd like to have a finer adjustment in steps of 0.05x or 0.10x, a custom input field or slider would be totally fine. Personally, for example, I prefer 1.1x. This would allow everyone to find their perfect compromise between speed and an (rather) unaltered video.

This is not possible for youtube videos, because the iframe api only lets you set certain values, but it's definitely possible for any video source where we fully control the video player (direct, hls, etc).

Oh, that is a pity. Especially as it is possible on youtube itself. Not really using this for anything else than yt videos. 😅

Interesting. Could you show me how you are able to have fine grain playback speed on youtube?
