Is the following a valid proposition?

If a project is open source then it must be open source everywhere.

More to the point must the decision-making process behind an open source project be open? And ust it be visible from the get-go?

There's no easy, fully descriptive answer. There may well be wonderful and successful open-source projects where all the significant decisions are taken in a clandestine manner.

On the other hand, there are projects that are based on open decision making and they are wonderful

Three examples:

In all of these projects the decision-making process is highly visible.

I feel that these are wonderful examples to follow and, so, I suggest that all Exploratoria decisions - ginormous and tiny - be made openly, visibly and in an auditable manner.

I mean. rofl, where would we be if Leibniz and Newton had used SnapChat?
