I don't think this is a stretch topic, but I could be wrong...
This element I'm trying to get at here is perhaps personally most evident in Write.as - the CMS/service/community I moved The Psalms to ~2017 (when it was at its peak buzz, if I recall correctly,) and eventually Extratone.
It basically saved my life.
It is "minimal" but in a substantial way. It is very carefully crafted to actually get the fuck out of the way. The "quirks" I originally found "janky" - like how its image uploading service is completely separate the CMS and requires one to copy and paste the Markdown embed code of each image into each post separately - I now cling to desperately because I legitimately believe them to be ideal. (When you think about the image thing specifically... it actually just makes your draft immediately and irrecovably portable and ready to publish at the same time... by not doing something for you.)
Anyway... I have definitely fucking encountered this too much in the past year and have a heavy and serious need to put a 4-letter term on it...
