Yes you can choose Ctrl+Left and Ctrl+Right as hotkeys, but I don't think you can choose Num Lock or Scroll Lock as they are reserved keys.
The only question now is whether that USB switch still sends Ctrl+Left and Ctrl+Right to the Operating System (allowing SimpleKVM to perform the video switch), or whether it absorbs the hotkey.
If you end up buying it, please let me know how it goes.
Would it be possible to allow the hot key function to allow any and all keyboard combinations?
The USB switch linked that has hotkey functionality is out of stock everywhere.
There is another USB switch that has the hot key function but the keys allowd are CTRL left, CTRL right, NUM lock or SCROLL lock.
