Using old images

As image generation has been halted for the last few years, should I rely on the latest rolling image (2 years old) and upgrade packages, or will it danger me of regressions?
Answers based on personal experience or general knowledge will be appreciated.

Hi there, as long as the latest Rolling ISO supports your hardware you can install it and then upgrade it with sudo zypper dup .

Trying previous ISO of KDE on Macbook early 2016 gave me a flashing and irresponsible UI. May it be solved by zypper dup/use of testing image?

Hi there, you can always try the live ISO without making changes to your installed system(s).
