Description
I just received a stash of server-pull cards (and 5 SAS drives) from the 'overkillbros', Thomas and Joe, from Germany. I wanted to first catalog them here, then break the cards I'll be testing into their own issues.
- Dell E2K-UCP-61-(B) Perc 6i PCIe SAS RAID Controller w/ battery - looks like it's a bit ancient supporting 3 Gbps SAS, PCIe 1.0
- DELL UCP-51 Perc 5i PCIe SAS RAID Controller w/ 256 MB cache & battery - 3 of these, all with battery. Still 3 Gbps SAS, so a bit slow.
- Fujitsu Enterprise 73.5GB SAS Hard Drive (Sun branded MAY2073RC/SUN73G) - 5 of these, pretty sure they're all SAS-1 (3 Gbps) as well.
- Broadcom 5719 Quad Port 1 Gigabit Low Profile NIC BCM95719A1904G - 3 of these... with a PCIe switch I could build a 13-port switch or router ;)
- Dell Qlogic QLE220 Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter PCI-E x4 EL0210402-12 A - Uses the QLogic SP232 chip
Cards I might not test (Since they're PCI-X and it seems like adapters don't work)
- EMC QLA2460-E-SP SANblade Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter - 2 of these
- SUN PCI-X Dual Port Gigabit Network Adapter 371-0911-01 - Uses the Intel 82546GB Ethernet controller
- X-MEDIA 1-Port PCI 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet PCI NIC - Uses Realtek RTL8169SC controller
- Intel Pro/100 S Desktop Adapter - Interesting claim to fame of offloading encryption to the network controller.
