dm-tree issue with install meridian on a mac running python 3.11.5 #508

Hi,
Is it possible to get a requirements file as I have tried installing meridian but keep running into the dm-tree issue see attachment.

Have you got cmake installed?

Try

brew install cmake

I have yes. still doesnt install.

Hello @bilalmussaacceleration,

As @rorynormaness pointed out, the issue appears to be with cmake. The error message Command '['cmake', '--version']' returned non-zero exit status 1. suggests that indeed there may be some issue with cmake.

Please share additional information listed below to help us better assist you in debugging this issue:

  1. Does the error message look the same after installing cmake with brew install cmake?
  2. Did you try to remove any old installations of cmake before installing the new one?
  3. Did you make sure that the PATH variable points to the right version of cmake?
  4. What is the output of cmake --version?
