Hi Guys,
It's that time. Time to update your tutorials. The current version of Build Your First Map App for Android is seriously out of date. Android Studio Hedgehog is a serious leap ahead. The current tut' is almost useless.

I second what @dwightfowler said. The tutorial is from 2020, 4 years have passed. I think it's time to have a decent Jetpack Compose modern tutorial for Maps.
