Request: Enable Custom Connectors pqx mez

How would one go about using this with a custom pqx or mez extension?

I have created my own Function library extension that I can use in any query within Power BI by saving it under \Documents\Power BI Desktop\Custom Connectors.

However, those extensions must be written in the section/semicolon M document syntax. I'd like to be able to use that code without having to maintain a separate M-expression version or copying it into every folder containing my *.pq jobs.
