I think it is a great idea.. but to be put farther off. We have more important issues to solve and as this would probably require moving it's also kind of high investment. |

Before the possibility of Rails Girls Summer of Code, I was working on GitHub OAuth that would let you create a GitHub repository for your Hackety program instead of hosting our own Git service through Hackety. If that sounds desirable I'd be happy to resume working on it. |

That sounds nothing short of amazing if the github API offers all that. The RGSoC team is currently working on omniauth etc. nothing is merged yet though. Would be good to coordinate with them I guess, will make them aware of this issue here. |
@jrgifford not yet, I started the branch with GitHub OAuth integration but it sounds like @hacketyhack/rgsoc are working on that as part of #8. Once it lands or GitHub falls outside the scope of it I will take up this mantle once more. The way I envision it would be once you've oauth'd GitHub you can
