I can't find this project on crates.io. Can you please upload it there so that other people can easily include it in their project?

It's there: https://crates.io/crates/threemf

It's also linked in the README 😁

But this brings two problems to attention:

  • The link in the README is too subtle. There should be an example for how to include it in your Cargo.toml.
  • The README doesn't mention the word "3mf-rs", which means the crate won't be found by this search term.

I'm repurposing this issue to fix those. Pull requests welcome!

My apologies! I usually see repositories with their crates.io link on the sidebar under the about section, or somewhere in the releases. Also, usually the repository name matches the crates.io package name so that threw me off too. I hope you probably had a good reason to use three instead of "3"?

No reason to apologize! You brought to my attention that the crates.io release is hard to find, and that is valuable.

I hope you probably had a good reason to use three instead of "3"?

Crates names can't begin with a number. threemf is the best I could come up with, but I'm open to other suggestions.

Reopening, as I'd like to use this issue to track the two problems I've mentioned in my previous issue.
