Post term is not updated

Describe the bug
It looks like the marker term is no longer updated when saving a post. The post meta field does work, however the term in the database stays the same.

I'm not sure, maybe the method has changed, but I couldn't find any documentation on it.

Steps to reproduce the issue

• Plugin Version: 2.2.1
• WordPres Version: 6.1
• PHP Version: 7.4
• Browser and operating system: Any

Thank you for reporting this issue. I'm not sure what could be the underlying issue here, but I feel like it's related to PHP 7.4 - everything seems to work fine with PHP 8.0 (not tested with PHP 8.1 yet). Do you have the chance to test the issue with PHP 8.0 on your end?
Also, can you please evaluate if the quick edit works?

Hi. Thanks for the reply.

I have just tested with PHP 8.0.8, but unfortunately the problem still exists in the post edit screen.

However, the quick edit does work, in both PHP 7.4 and 8.0
