OSM Sandbox

• What it is: An isolated environment for creating OSM-like data.
• Target Users: Hobby mappers, R&D teams, non-profits, and more.
• Proposed Features:
  • Private OSM database clones.
  • Custom Tasking Manager instances.

Expanding Project Types

• Beyond basemaps: Accessibility (wheelchair access), infrastructure, and safety features.

AI Integration

• Phased rollout of task assignment, difficulty estimation, priority based assignment, and validation.

Mapper Recognition System

• Introducing "Super Mapper" status and thematic badges.

Tools and Integrations

• MapSwipe could be used to prioritize mapping tasks by flagging areas of interest through satellite imagery, aiding pre-validation and microtasking.
• uMap could enable teams to visualize project outputs with custom, interactive maps, supporting storytelling and post-mapping analysis.
• MapRoulette could help resolve micro-level mapping challenges by assigning precise tasks for data cleanup and skill-building.
