Need tests for at least these cases:

Single ECInstance change in a large fully loaded flat hierarchy.
Single ECInstance change in a large fully loaded deep hierarchy where the node representing the ECInstance is deep in the hierarchy.
Large number of ECInstance changes in a fully loaded flat hierarchy.
Large number of ECInstance changes in a fully loaded deep hierarchy.
