Detailed description:

If there is a URL in the "description" or "notes" section of the dictionary viewer, the user has to select and copy the text for the URL. Some of the URLs are quite long (ie. see example below) and make the notes look cluttered. It would be easier to be able to click on the URL.

Examples:

Notes section of "clinical_stage_group" field:

"Please refer to the documentation for Tumour Staging Classifications: http://docs.icgc-argo.org/docs/submission/dictionary-overview#tumour-staging-classifications",

  • URLs in description text:
    Untitled2

Possible Implementation

  • the user clicks on "Tumour Staging Classifications" which takes them to the documentation page.

"Please refer to the documentation for Tumour Staging Classifications"

  • the user can click on URL instead of selecting & copying text
