in order to prevent the following warning from gazebo:

Error [Param.cc:181] Unable to set value [1,0471975511965976] for key[horizontal_fov]
Error [Param.cc:181] Unable to set value [0,100000001] for key[near]

the locale needs to be set properly, i.e. export LC_NUMERIC="C"

can we add this permanently for all stud-accounts?

on cob4-7 locale settings are different between the pcs (e.g. b1 en-US, t1 en-GB). Should always be en-US.
