Enhancement: Persist filters between page reloads (just like sorting)

I would like to have the option for the filters defined in the UI to be persisted between page reloads (just like sorting of the list view gets persisted).

To have a configuration (or have this enabled by default) to persist the filters between page reloads.

+1 for this - I'd ideally like to have a single URL I can go to, that applies my filters (if possible). I know that might not be straightforward given the architecture, but wanted to put in my 2 cents here -- it was one of the things that came to mind as a user.
