Mapping only specific data from a spreadsheet

How would you filter the gdata before passing it to the map. Say i want to query and search for data that falls into specific criteria?

Is that possible and if so where is that passed in the mapsheet?

I just want to second this request. Tabletop.js has supported a query parameter since 2012. It would be awesome if Mapsheet would also allow a query parameter when requesting the spreadsheet from Google.
