Question: can you monitor the download of datasets in GeoNode?

Dear colleagues, I know how to monitor the download of well and monitoring data, in Django, but I don't know who to monitor the download of datasets. By monitoring, I mean accessing a list of all resources that have been download, and if possible by whom.

Geoserver has monitor plugin, but we haven't added it.

Could you provide the step for me to add monitor on geoserver? And also the monitor logs should be persist (maybe the best is database)
We are using : kartoza/geoserver:2.23.0-geo-v2023.09.15

After that, i will update the django admin to also include the monitor logs from this geoserver monitor

Hi colleagues, with this monitor plugin, would we ask the users to provide some information about themselves (like we do for the well and monitoring data download) or will it only be based on the IP address (like Google Analytics)?

The monitoring on geoserver is just provide the link of data, the username, and the IP
It is similar with google analytics

We need to track the downloads. is it possible to track the downloads from the GGMN of last year?
if not can we make it work and start tracking from now?
