Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

Right now the Gloo ext auth implementation of LDAP doesnt allow for connection pools.
Users of LDAP auth are seeing a significant performance issues.

Describe the solution you'd like

Golang's implementation of LDAP does not yet support connection pool so nor do we in ext auth. But there appears some workaround documented here so might be of intereset.

No longer valid given we have already done an implementation our LDAP integration. I seemed to have missed it when I raised this ticket.
