Hello, @bklaric! Sorry for the tag, but I think that tagging you in a repository issue is the best way to get in touch.

I have been using your extension 'Enhanced Image Viewer'. Recently, I have switched to Firefox and noticed that there isn't a version of the extension available to be downloaded via the Firefox Add-ons Store. I would simply like to ask if you have plans to port the extension for Firefox.

Hi! Porting the extension to Firefox is something I had looked into when I was still working on the extension, but didn't do much about it in the end. It's been years now since the last time I've worked on the extension and I have considered giving it a facelift which would include porting it to Firefox, but I don't have any concrete plans yet.

Out of curiosity, how useful do you think the extension is? I would really like to dedicate more time to developing the extension, but would also like to have some financial incentive to do so. I was thinking of converting the extension to some kind of freemium model where the user can use the extension to view a set amount of images per day and charging some small one-time fee of like $1 or $2 for viewing unlimited images forever. Does this sound reasonable to you? I would really like to hear an extenion user's opinion on this.

I think that it is very useful. With the minimum and maximum zoom levels Chrome and Firefox, it helps that there is an extension that can help you zoom at whatever level you like. It also adds pan-to-move, which I also think is very useful (and I'd even argue that it should be available without extensions).

I have been looking for Firefox add-ons similar to your add-on and the closest that I could find is this, which while has some features like zoom-however and pan-to-move, lacks rotation (via mouse and shortcuts), flipping (via mouse and shortcuts), vertical/horizontal scrolling, and other features present in EIV. It also doesn't offer any customization on things like the background color and scrollbar hiding, which EIV offers.

About financial matters, I don't think I have the experience about being able to gain money via any programming means to say anything. Despite that, though, I think that it is kind of reasonable to have a financial incentive for anything that hinders some other way of having financial incentives like applying for a job IRL.

About a possible freemium model, I'm pretty split. I think that your suggestion (having a maximum amount of images to view) is good. I also think that enabling donations via some method and having a "Donate" button in the extension instead is good.

I think it's a dilemma between relative user count and relative profit: "less users, more money" or "more users, less money" -- though, to be honest, that might be assuming that either suggestion affects how many users use the extension and how much financial incentives you can get.
