My name is Guus Hoeve, UX/UI designer who is building a truly atomic design system in Sketch called Revolver Design System; simply lock a theme, load your components, and fire off your designs!
Unlike the templated design systems for Sketch out there, RDS is not a static design system template you hack to make the designs look like your own. It's a framework that together with ATOM Libraries (www.alo.one, the fuel for RDS) gives you the power to build your own design system, from scratch, with a little help from a framework so people learn the ability to create a design systems by taking very small steps.
I'm currently using it to help clients that I'm working with out right now, it's getting great reception on the methodology by developers as they can now transfer knowledge from their domain over to Sketch, and vice versa!
In short, it gives you and your team the power to create your own design system that only contains what you need, makes everything you create re-usable in other libraries, and connects with your developers by default. This way you build up your own library of ATOM libraries that you then feed into your Revolver Design System, and gain the knowledge and know-how of building a modular design system yourself rather then following someone else's way of working or examples.
I really like what you're doing with Sketch Tokenizer, and I saw what you want to implement in the future regarding design tokens. I would love to that a spin and see how it works in a real-world examples annd projects, since I want to create a design systems that has design token hand-off built in. In return I can help you make your plugin better and validated through professional implementation, and also credit your hard work when I go public.
Feel free to reach out if you would like to know more ([email protected]) because I believe what you're doing is the missing link in Sketch I need to once and for all free developers of the trenches that designers put them in. 🖖
Thank you for reading all of this and in any case, good or worse, all the best and hope to speak to you soon!
Greetings,
Guus Hoeve
