SVG filter that removes empty space between adjacent edges
Copy stitch.svg to ~/.config/inkscape/filters/ (Linux/OS X) or %AppData%\inkscape\filters\ (Windows). To use it in Inkscape: (1) select objects, (2) select from menu Filters > Fix > Stitch objects.
