I downloaded it in a directory.
After downloading it hung there.
Doing ctrl-c gave the mesage "shutting down..." and the process exited. there were no files on disk.

It's a mounted drive. When you exit torrent-mount the drive will unmount, and the files won't be there any longer.

how can i remount a drive after restarting computer? do the files have to be downloaded again?

You can run the command again.

It sounds like you are looking for a torrent client instead. Torrent-mount is not for that (although it could be used to build one, which would be rather awesome).

Hi, reading this question and it's answer I'm still wondering: how does torrent-mount store the downloaded data locally? And when does it get really deleted? It seems to be persistent after rerunning the same torrent.

the are stored in /tmp/torrent-stream
