I may have missed this in the docs or not seen it in the UI; but is there an option to upload a saved ped file to allow further interaction with it? Thanks!

Hi, yes you can use the "Load ped file" input in the left-most panel of QuickPed.

Note that some annotations available in QuickPed, like colors, carrier status etc., cannot be exported / imported from ped files. The user manual elaborates a bit: https://github.com/magnusdv/quickped#ped-files

Is it worth also having an "extended" format so that the additional data could saved?

This would be nice indeed, but is not currently a priority, I'm afraid.

If it is reproducibility you are after, note that the "R code" button gives you complete code for reproducing the plot in R.
