I don't know if this is the right project to write in, but I think it's the better. This is about management of sound streams on MATE graphical environment.
Expected behaviour
There should be an option to manage different sound streams.
Actual behaviour
There's no way to manage streams and the last opened app with controllable stream becomes Master, so the other ones can not be controlled. This is a really bad management of streams.
Steps to reproduce the behaviour
Open and play a controllable sound stream, for example, Audacious
Now you can manage it with MPRIS controls, such as play/pause, next song... with the keyboard keys (or any other way)
Open and play another controllable sound stream, for example, a Funkwhale instance: https://audio.anartist.org
Now you can manage Funkwhale, but not Audacious or any other stream.
There's no way to manage Audacious again with MPRIS controlls, but closing all streams and letting Audacious be the last stream.
GNOME, Plasma and many other Graphical Environments solve this with a MPRIS control applet.
