Describe the bug

I get that it needs to be admin in order to complete the installer but why not provide a UX that UAC prompts in order to do that. I could understand it more if the winget listing for the win app sdk was up to date and also included experimental but the listings are all over the place (see attached)

Image

Steps to reproduce the bug

  1. Download Windows App SDK 1.7 experimental
  2. Click on the installer download from the prompt in edge
  3. Get a fail need to be admin

Expected behavior

  1. Download Windows App SDK 1.7 experimental
  2. Click on the installer download from the prompt in edge
  3. Asks if the user would like to elevate to install

The runtime doesn't need admin to run.

Hi @aclinick , We are unable to repro this bug. Can you confirm the version of OS, and choice of browser you are using to initiate the install from Downloads. As well as any other information.
