Hello,

sometimes I like a challenge, and sometimes I like to relax and twiddle my thumbs. Currently Anuto is more on the challenge side of things, and I'd sometimes like to be able to set difficulty to be easier to play around and experiment more freely.

To avoid unbalancing the carefully balanced weapons/hitpoint progression, I think it would be enough if an easier game mode would just give more credits per kill.

I like this idea. More credits per kill would make it easier without ruining the balancing of the turrets/enemies. I also sometimes like to go easy vs a hard challenge

I would like if "easy mode" allow me to:

  1. move towers or sell for original price
  2. save/load game.

It will help me to understand what is wrong and what could be improved.
If I always fail near wave 100, then I have to play again and again all waves from 1 to 100 in order to try different strategy.

The difficulty is easy in the beginning and will increase over time to impossible.
Reducing DIFFICULTY_MODIFIER/EXPONENT/LINEAR should allow a slower increase.

(Just increasing the reward does not work, because the difficulty is calculated from the earned credits.)

I just read that the bonus is not counted in the earned credits for the difficulty. An easy/medium/hard setting could just change by a significant factor the amount of bonus earnt. It would also help balance somehow the risk of collecting the bonus without knowing what's going to arrive

Alternatively, not tied to credits earnt, enhancement/upgrades could be 10% cheaper on medium and 20% cheaper on easy. That would still give more freedom/mistakes to play/experiment with different/changing strategies
