Internal Markdown Links [...](#...) are broken after export to docx from markdown

When I try to export a document with internal markdown links to headings, the links in the output document break (clicking on any link will just prompt word processor to jump to the first page, even if the heading is not on the first page). I do not know if this is a plugin or pandoc support issue. Is there any other way to generate workable links? Thank you in advance.
