can get and set values in your instances. Instead of manually writing code to store and access data,
you declare a property and the compiler generates all the necessary code for you. Think of it as a smart
way to add data to your class that can be easily read and modified.</p>

<p>Start with <a href="declaration.html">@property declaration</a> as your first step towards properties.
The next logical step is then <a href="runtime.html">@property definition</a>, followed by
<a href="access.html">@property access</a>.</p>
<p>Get a deeper understanding of <a href="attributes.html">@property attributes</a> next and then learn
how properties get inherited from <a href="class-inheritance.html">classes</a>,
<a href="protocol-inheritance.html">protocols</a> and <a href="protocolclass-inheritance.html">protocolclasses</a>
in your code. A more esoteric possibility is <a href="redeclaration.html">@property redeclaration</a>,
which may sometimes come in handy.</p>
<p>For completeness, check out the directives that were used for property creation with

<a href="dynamic-directive.html">@dynamic</a>. These are very rarely useful in mulle-objc though.</p>

<p>Though maybe of interest to practitioners of other Objective-C dialects, this tutorial is focused on

mulle-objc runtime. It will cover those attributes that are germane to mulle-objc though.</p>
