Your idea

Currently the Staff Text Line, System Text Line, and Pedal elements can have no hook, a 90° hook down, a 45° angle hook down, or a 90° hook up and down. I would like to add an additional hook type, as shown:

Problem to be solved

Handbell notation uses a "Handbells Used Chart" at the beginning of the score to show which notes exist within the score. Some of these notes may be optional, indicating whether smaller handbell choirs that only have a limited range of bells available can still play the piece. Optional notes should be marked on the Handbells Used Chart with the word "Optional" or "Opt." and a bracket as shown:

This example is taken from the Handbell & Handchime Notation Guide from the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers (AGEHR).

The "Optional" bracket on the right uses the extra hook to indicate that only notes above a certain point are optional.

Additional context

See #26659 for being able to rotate the line, and #26660 to allow text centered in the middle of the line.
