Controller Not Working on Sipeed Tang Primer 25K with PMOD_JOYSTICK x2 v1.0 and DS2

Hi there,

First of all, thank you for your efforts in creating this system! I recently purchased the Sipeed Tang Primer 25K (Gowin GW5A) along with the PMOD Joystick Kit. I followed the instructions exactly as described, but unfortunately, I cannot make any selection on the "Welcome to SNESTang" screen. Neither of the controllers works, regardless of which port I use.

Could you please advise on how to troubleshoot this issue? Is there a debug mode or any other method to check what's wrong? I'm a complete beginner with FPGAs and would really appreciate your help.
