Similar to the other maybe_ pandas-like-specific functions https://narwhals-dev.github.io/narwhals/api-reference/narwhals/#narwhals.maybe_set_index. Regardless of whether or not they use Narwhals in pymc-devs/pymc#7462, it does look like it would be useful there, so if we get it ready, it may be useful to others in the future
