Just would like to get a list of all the available possiblities so they can be evaluated, I wrote (3, or 4, well, 5 I guess) at https://github.com/nicksellen/ponderings/blob/master/future.md

Those 5 being:

environmental disaster
human-created power structures become too powerful (over human freedom)
computers take over the world
"garden of eden" world achieved
sun dies, kills earth (and humanity if they haven't left yet)
